Metminco (through Minera Hampton Peru) won the auction for the Celeste 8 tenement around Los Calatos project (see block labelled "NEW" in image below).
I do not have at this point the details of how much money was offered by each bidder, but anyway the important news is that MNC won the auction. The tenement should be granted in some 30 days once some paperwork and rubber stamping is completed.
Good news as this tenement provides buffer areas downstream of the preferred tailings dam location.
