For what SMSL is upto - next thing for them (they've advertised it since ages ago) is to try to stop Lynas by doing a blokade at the port/transport route.
Given the previous rumours that leaked to Fuziah about the ore arrivals I don't expect that the port workers will keep their mouths shut. I'd expect such a blokade to be largely symbolic, with a standoff lasting for a few hours or so while shutting down the whole port and then the protest being disbanded.
Looking forward to Lynas being able to conclusively and empirically prove that they are safe.
