I've been trading the market for the last 10 years, i've personally been involved in the resources industry professionally (hence work related), so i'm just trying to comprehend your comment that "every chance that the announcement would lead to lower SP (yes, even on a positive announcement as we have seen)"
Could you please elaborate on how you came to this assumption??? IMO you must be a wizard that can see the future lol because IMO if someone had told me or anyone else on this planet that such an unbelievable confirmed announcement was to be realised before being released to the market, I and every person on this planet would've risked their life saving and buy in before the announcement was to be released to the market.
So coming up with such an assumption after the fact is very easy to say, when before the fact no one could ever come up with such an assumption.
Anyway, having both an objective and subjective view always makes for healthy discussions, but seriously doesn't matter what view you share, logic should be applied which is valid.
