Yesterday I commented on the GDX and HUI looking like they were on the verge of a break out and that strong gains on our gold sector suggested the break out looked like it would happen that evening.
Last night GDX and HUI broke out with strong moves.
As an added bonus general equities also had very strong gains, and no US QE yet means the markets should continue to hold up reasonably well for now.
Good back drop for ABU to continue its up trend.
I updated the GDX chart below and some of the commentary but not the ABU chart (not much change yesterday other than it held above support and closed even).
