-3500, I always enjoy reading your posts, we share some of the same stocks mxi, brg, mnf but think we need to differentiate between traders and investment grade stocks when selling.
-often you can stumble on a beauty in the process of d/trading, they all need monitoring for selling all the time (especially now as timbo says), have dumped all IO stocks for now, it is a continuous auction after all.
-I have to hold a stock before I can get a "feel" for it properly (yes, have bought heaps), like living with someone! dt'ing fulfills a couple of purposes - a keeper or a trader?
-problem is, can't muck around too long and wait for a stock to "do something wrong" before I sell, like the idea of Phantom of the Pits, which is to remove the position if it has not proven to be correct (subtle difference)
-the idea often mentioned is that a good trade is usually right from the start, if not, get out quick
-transactions costs can be a big negative, so you're right about catching those multibaggers. And, yes, I do make heaps of boo boos, just try to keep them small.
