Peteski,
I think we have all seen bits of your research flash past us from time to time, but the OML thing totally escapes me. I dont recollect SBL ever paying out any Ghanians for their 30% share. Maybe it was part of the former directors'deal with LG. perhaps LG took over the responsibility for paying them out. Maybe LG own OML's 30%, because SBL didn't buy it. Only a totally utterly confused guess by me.
I'd like to hear what others think. If thats what happened, then LG (as OML) might own a 30% share of the Mine dirt and SBL own 70% of the mine dirt. LG own 76% of SBL. The two surely are not related, but probably will turn out that way to confuse us more.So when SBL, as operators, make a $100 profit, they give 30% to whoever owns or controls OML & 70% to whoever owns SBL. Seeing that LG might own OML and 76% of SBL, they clean up pretty well, but us outside share holders of SBL still have to get treated similarly to LG shareholding. The rambling mind!!
I found a few bits confusing in this sudden coming out of OML. It almost sounds like SBL & OML are working under another combined operator who runs the show. I'm not quite drunk, but sorry for the wild conjecture. Cheers, Japes.
