There was an interesting article in last weeks Economist titled 'politics in Kyrgyzstan' which explained that the government of Omurbek Babanov had lost it's majority due to scandal and defection of minor parties on 22 August. The country is described as ' lurches from crisis to crisis'.
The next government when it gets formed will be the fourth In just over two years.
It describes investment risk as growing fast and that officials use regulatory loopholes to extract huge bribes routinely.
the country is ranked 164 out of 183 in Transparency International's corruption perception index.
