Its because people bought into LIN over 20c and many upto 28c and are nearing 50% value of their investment, so they need to speculate positively. The downside of that is their expectations increase and elevate and then if the results don't meet those levels, the price slides beyond the small gains they made on the lead up.
Good company, dangerous times. Was great on the lead up from 8c, was a real money maker.
