the acquisition of a large scale overseas resource project would be seen as a change in the nature of activities for the company (i.e from healthcare to resources). This would require the company to go through the recompliance procedure under chapter 11 of the ASX listing rules and call a shareholder meeting to approve the change in activities among other things.

such a small scale initial acquisition like stuart creek indicates to me that the board are looking to make a slow and gradual transition into the resources sector, probably in an attempt to avoid recompliance.

This would also explain why the announcement was titled "Market Update' and not the standard micro cap spruiking headline like 'PLD Acquires Highly Prospective NSW Gold Assets'
