Tretch, I know about the potential that this technology has and with my comment about a 'company maker', I was referring to what also you rightly acknowledged, that this deal alone can be worth many millions of dollars. Also you could have a field day thinking(dreaming) about potential knock-on effects. You mentioned the possible media attention this could get in Germany and just the magnitude of such a big carrier like Lufthansa making a such bold step like this is awesome to see. I am certainly no expert in aviation, but this must be a fist(?).
And I also agree on your latter point, the experts at Lufthansa know what they are doing and they surely have scrutinized AEB's technology. They wouldn't commit to this if they weren't convinced it will bring them a competitive advantage in the next years/decades. Exciting stuff!!
btw, what do you think will happen when Germany awakes? They are traded in Frankfurt at 0.215 euros.
