Did a search on Palta +noble clyde and there is a site called nopsema.gov.au. It is a report from Shell.
It shows the location of Palta 1 drill hole. It is only about 10km south of southern boundary of WHL's WA-460P!!
Interesting that Shell mention a canyon (that you can see several of on maps from WHL announcements) that lies 15km north of the Palta 1 location, putting it in WHL's permit. Another canyon lies 20km south of Palta 1.
It could be a sign of a geological fault that traps the field from continuing into P460. I'm not a geo so perhaps someone could enlighten me. Hopefully it is only a surface structure.
Why didn't Shell incorporate this small package (WA 460P) into their application for the original permit?
Looking at the map in Shell's report, it looks like someone has bitten a very small hole into WA384P. Why ???
I would expect that any success by Shell would see WHL one day drill close to their southern boundary and south of the canyon.
I have a decent exposure to WHL so don't shoot the messenger ok.
I'll approach WHL tomorrow about this.
