twitter is a valid news source. its definitely the quickest, and thats important when trading...
people can tweet at court hearings and give instantaneous updates... i know various people who work for large firms and they get all their news from twitter, both from first person sources and other traders...
theres an old story of an investor who had a scout watch the battle of hastings, return as quickly as the outcome was decided and he invested heavily in bonds and made a killing... twitter is just the same...
