    The Spraberry-Dean Sandstone fields consist of many tongue-shaped, oil- producing areas in the Midland Basin,
    a province of the Permian Basin of West Texas. The most prolific fields are located in Borden, Dawson, Glasscock, Martin, Midland, Reagan, Sterling, Tom Green, and Upton counties.
