When there is a resource upgrade for AVB, the market does the usual thing. Small run up and then back a bit.

I believe it is the implications of the announcement that count, and need to be thought through.

    1. This timely hype-announcement was needed to strengthen AVB's hand in dealing with Vale, not so much to impress shareholders or the market I suggest. Plus there is the fascinating and awesome consistent thickening with depth, and the Cu grade increase to boot. (Not to mention a bit of silver on the side. Hi-ho silver!) That blue-sky can be dangled in front of Vale, and then Vale can make their own deductions. PB just gets bigger and better.

    2. There seems to be a theory that east and west DO join somewhere down there into one large ore body. Open at DEPTH, open at length (E-W) and in a way open in width if the 40m true width gets better at depth. Another Sossego maybe? A nice wild-card.

    3. Looks like the AVB drilling focus now will be on chasing the "origin of gossans" around Conceicao for a while. For an interesting article on Nickel read post 8586671. That will be a bit of fun. Hit or miss. Time out from Cu. If they find the source of that gossan, WOW! so it is a lottery ticket. That's all. And if anyone can succeed it is AVB management and Geo's.

Anyway, for what it is worth, I just see this announcement as a means to the end, not the end in itself, if you see what I am saying.

I know SIR and MEU have done well on SP. Good luck to those who were holding at the right time!!

Personally I sleep FAR better at night holding AVB even at 8.0c than I would with SIR or MEU etc. right now.

Being well in the Top20 shareholders (adding all subsiduary holdings)of AVB, I am raising no sweat at all. And I would personally hate to see a duplication of Cu processing facilities, such that if AVB can do a good deal with Vale that avoids all that, and then if we don't have to chase $150m capital, so much the better.

    For example, at 6% premium (not 3%) in-ground value that is still 2 x 17c = 34cps... roughly.

My theory is the best is yet to come, and it is all lining up.

Big things happening in the background I suspect.
