A return on their investment comes from a) selling some of their controlling stake or b) issuing dividends.
Now thats great if your aim is to spin a profit, but you arent going to do either if your goal is to maximise gold production and sale to back to China. Now if the latter is your aim, then any profits go back into the ground or to further acquisitions, and you sure as hell arent selling up your controlling stake in the company!
Now Shandong is the Chinese government. Which do you think is more likely to be their agenda for buying up gold companies around the world? To spin a cash profit or to ensure supply to increase their gold reserve?
