The problem is that anyone with a capability to represent us is already working well within the system and are infected with the same malaise that politicians, CEO's, public servants are tarnished with. Anyone outside the system with a capability really doesn't care because of the 'Í'm alright jack' attitude. So your left to your own devices and hope for the best. Governments use this to advantage because they know we are a divided lot and can pass legislation with little or no opposition, or electoral damage as there are distinct grey regions that major parties will not bother with as they only marginally affect election outcomes. Really what you need is a grey interest group, collectively we would have the intellect and power to influence government policy but individually we have no say. Even those that claim to represent us via super funds etc. only do so to get fees and commissions and their structures are not necessarily in the best interests of those they represent. If the middle east can cause riots etc via social media maybe the grey hoards can do so in Australia as well?
