You have answered your own question, GGF. Over 2000 meters of depth, there are different layers (zones), there were free flowing gas at the end of the hole.
So instead of going on about feelings and fear, why not just say yes, you now understand what the company was saying, there were free flowing gas outside of the tight sands zone (Gatton), which we'll call it "conventional gas".
