Geld, I think they may be technically correct - look carefully at how it was written... From memory the price was down a bit on the day before news started emerging... although the drop definitely accelerated greatly.
Yes, they should have pre-prepared a statement covering a couple of different scenarios that could occur at the court case, but there wasn't that much time until the end of the day if they had to write something from sctatch and get it approved and sent out. IMO it definitely isn't something that warrants a trading halt as it's not something the company or general public gets announced at different times - i.e. Lynas gets told the same time as the rest of the court room and any members of the press that are public. Thus until it is announced there's no reason to call a TH, once it's announced it's in the public domain so no reason to call a TH (although the communications should be officially updated quicker).
