Exactly! I've also commented to that effect before!
After taking over from Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard made a complete meal of the management of the media. She initially failed to explain the reasons for replacing Rudd and back in February this year oversaw the public hacking of his political carcass.
For their part, mainstream Australians have never given Rudd his marching orders and despite sensationalised reports of his private tantrums and control freak management style still prefer him to all others. Nor was he afforded any consideration for the effect his faulty ticker would have had in the months prior to his removal.
Small wonder then that mainstream Australians remain dissatisfied with Gillard's performance as PM. Alan Jones attempted overkill and Tony Abbott's weak-kneed response has given Gillard grief-charged oxygen that still won't change the basics underlying public dissatisfaction with her performance.
