All the anecdotal evidence is pointing otherwise with the recent rate drops, plus there is optimism that more rate drops are on the way. Few agents I have spoken to in Perth are complaining about difficulty in getting listings, plus a contractor to a developer I know has just snagged a contract to prepare 500 blocks in outer suburbs in addition to 1000 plus already on the books. Go figure! I pass no judgment on it but there is a renewed optimism in this sector for better or worse in Perth anyway.
