6. New REG_HALT session state As advised in ASX Trade Circular 2011/016, a new session state, Regulatory Halt (REG_HALT), will be introduced on 28 November. The REG_HALT session state will be used to refresh (via an auction) the ECR (Extreme Cancellation Range) Reference Price of an instrument where an instrument’s price limit threshold or recent traded prices approach or meet the ECR. This session state may be applied to any instrument on ASX Trade at both the underlying and instrument series level. The new session state is a non-matching state. The functionality applicable to REG_HALT will be the same as the functionality supported during PRE_OPEN. For further information on application of the Regulatory Halt session state and the ECR please refer to ASX Circular 467/11.
