Maxine, I can't find anything wrong with the science, no matter how hard I try. This is really the most advanced ddRNAi program and it is a very safe target. The only thing I can come up with is the dominance of bean counters and non-scientist financial types in Pfizer and that at the time they let it go ddRNAi was EXTREMELY unfashionable. To be in ddRNAi in a big Pharma meeting at that time would've been a bit like turning up in massive flares and a paisley shirt with sunglasses and a moustache at a business lunch. Don't underestimate the power of fashion in the drug industry!
