Hedley Thomas in the Australian today had more to say about Gillard's role in the so called purchase of a house by Blewitt.
Apparently Blewitt was on a salary of about $50,000 and had a very heavy mortgage on his Perth house ($75,000 on a property valued at $78,000. Yet he was able to cough up $100,000 cash for the Fitzroy house in Melbourne and was given a $150,000 mortgage by Slater and Gordon.
