I'm surprised by the response, both educational and slightly vitriolic.
I agree that bankruptcy is very very unlikely, but i was trying to draw a long bow.
All emerging companies either reach a position of growth or decline.
Biota has many potential preventative pharmaceutical products, but their current large proposition has taken a significant time to reach market globally(japan is just the beginning).
I would guess that bigpharm is holding it or it efficacy isn't what's advertised. If the former, the company will be taken over. If the latter the company will degenerate into one of the many detritus that litter the market.
I look forward educated debate on the subject
