You have no arguments with me with all of what you wrote. None at all.
And it has also being my bone of contention for many years as well.
I have tried and fought to bring all of the points you have made to the attention of the ASX and ASIC in the past, while even talking to people in the ASIC Legal Department and, for all it was worth, it got me nowhere fast and it ended up being a total waste of time.
You and I, and I am sure many others here, are just small fish swimming by and only used as fodder by the big fish, and, although it hurts to know that it isn't right, the sooner we learn that and start to accepting it, the better it is.
The Exchange used to be called "THE PIT" for memory. And there is no better name IMO, that is befitting that simple term for the place.
In support of what I am saying, I refer you, (if I may), to my previous post where it states that the rules (although twisted and in favour of the big end of town), are there, and there is nothing that we can do.
Only some Politician with very big balls of steel, (LIKE TWEETY USED TO SAY) can change those rules and make them better and fairer for us poor retail investors. But will they be prepared to do so when they know that if they start jumping up an down, their career days in Politics could be numbered??
I will leave it up to you to decide now.
