In the US, the banking industry, the investment industy, the polical lobbying industry, etc. are full of corruption which would make an Asian nation blush.

However Russia's Putin would see it as good business, just like his peronal takeover of Russian media and oil companies, from which he has made billions.

But I don't think an insider like Al Capone would ever descibe the US as evil, Nazi, fascist and a criminal police state.

There is a huge disparity in wealth in the US, which is due to a failed legistatue and tax regime. But journalists are still allowed to investigate and report these things.


I suggest you read Orwell's 1984 and the initial corruption of the English language as a first step to controlling people. "Name calling" or "branding" is not an adequate argument.

I hope don't blame militant islamism in the Middle East as the fault of the US. No dount the US has contribed in some part, but religious fanaticism has it own internal seeds - just ask the Taliban. And you have to ask why the US is providing aid, but not the other states in the area.

Similarly, much of militant islamism in the African states seems more to do with a grab for power and ethnic or tribal rivalry.

People keep forgetting that for all of its sins, the US was still the saviour of Europe and Southern Asia (including Australia) in WW2.

Surely, that is one small point in their favour.
