re: biotech boom will be bigger than dotcom boom.. another thing....has the Australian government really created the right environment for successful research and innovation? I think not, we have some great scientists but every budget (regardless of Liberal or Labor) science cops it in the neck. Why? Because pollies are short sighted and so are voters and there are no votes in science, the payoffs are too far ahead. We kneecap the future growth of our economy through lack of nurturing young and innovative companies. Look at the investment climate and support for R&D in Ireland, Israel, Finland....we have smart people but the govt does not support them and they languish or go overseas for opportunities.

Sorry a bit of a rant, slightly off topic but we are talking about biotech.
