yep, it sure is interesting times for WCL.
that announcement has now confirmed some things:
- there is no firm offer yet
- there ARE parties other than Petro/LNg who have been conducting D/D, and going even further with their investigations.
- we DO now have a time frame as you say - by 22 Nov 2012
- note the change in terminology from T/O to "change in control transaction". that may not mean anything - but it conjurs up such things as a new big J/V partner etc etc or say a gas buyer and forward sale agreement etc etc.
- also as Tui indicated, maybe NHC is now in the mix? if it is keen on C/B gas, why not a wholly owned CSG producer?
For sure that some of mthose "interested parties" will be gas users wanting to secure gas supplies long term.
It seems, like ACN, that the coy is now formally in play - it's now not a question of "if" but "when".
