Its interesting to see how LYC has performed since this thread was last added to. What happened to rorkes' rocket? Crashed and burned at takeoff?
Unfortunately the stock will continually be plagued with conspiracy and doubt purely because of the Malaysian working environment and its industrial sector in particular. Those who have held from the spike to 95c down to 62c today are solely responsible for doing so; they knew both the fundamental and technical risks - its been discussed aplenty but often been met by accusation of down-ramping etc. Unfortunately many who have held since the spike are the same ones who held on when the stock gapped up to $1.60 earlier in the year. One needs to take lessons from their losses so that these events aren't forever recurring. As I flagged in the opening post, both gap ups had a considerable similarity to each other and thus it would've paid to be cautious and mindful of the gap below. There's no use blaming one's losses on anyone or anything else when you would only pat yourself on the back if your fortunes were reversed.
The question now is, will the stock fall a further 2-3 cents to fill the TOL gap? So much for 'burnt shorters'!
I'm anticipating someone asking me about the gap on October 11 and whether that should fill too - I'll discuss that now briefly. The gap down on October 11 is of a different form to the gap ups left on February 2 and September 6 - there is far less (if any) certainty that it will fill. Notice how the stock has since broken down through the low of October 11. Now notice how the stock failed to break up through the high of the gaps on February 2 and September 6 in the following weeks. They might all be gaps, but thats the only thing they have in common. You need to look more into the detail of the trading to see if they will fill, and I have my doubts about the one left last week and whether that has a chance of filling. The low of 69c on that day should've held into this week and next if there was a chance of the stock rebounding back up to 84.5c to fill the gap. Its a long road back for shareholders from these prices imo.
