The contrast between Rudd and Gillard could not have been greater.
He was able to make his points (whether you agree with him or not) without digging around in the gutter, without the name calling, no flashy labels, no smartarse references, all whilst maintaining a sense of dignity.
Labor could have saved themselves a lot of pain without Gillard at the helm. She has done more damage to Labor than anyone could ever have imagined.
The only time Rudd let himself down was when questioned about what his colleagues said about him at the last leadership challenge. He somehow managed to avoid the direct question and twist it around to criticize Abbott.
