Hi, trying to piece together the reports and gas shows to assess reported total gas shows.
From report # 5, as is the first show of gas.
#5 – 25/09
•Drilled from 3015 to 3740mMDRT
•High background gas necessitating increased mud weight at 3433m
•Would this be part of the Flamingo formation? It appears to be very thick.
GAS - 3433 - ?? but say 300m…not possible???
#6 –3/10
•Drilled 3740 to 3828mMDRT
•Ran & cemented 244mm casing to 3818m
•Test BOP’s
•No mention of gas shows here
GAS – 0m
#7 – 8/10
•Drilled from 3818 to 4068.5mMDRT
•216mm hole
•Reservoir quality sands exhibiting gas shows encountered below 4059mMDRT
•Drill to 4265mMDRT or GWC
GAS – 4059 to 4068.5 = 9.5m
#8 – 11/10
•Drilled from 4068.5 to 4186m
•Cores cut from 4068.5 to 4095.2
•26.7m core recovered to surface
•Palynology suggests this is sandstone above Elang/Plover objective
•Gas shows and elevated resistivity from LWD tools recorded during drilling
•No mention of drill to 4265mMDRT, just to GWC
GAS – 4068.5 to 4186 = 117.5m
#9 – 12/10
•Drilled from 4186 to 4328mMDRT
•Gas shows & elevated resistivity continue to be observed
•Interpreted to be in the Elang/Plover objective
•Drill to GWC/TD
GAS – 4186 to 4328 = 142m
#10 – 16/10
•Drilled from 4328 to 4346(coring point)
•Core cut from 4346 to 4358.6 for 12.6m core
•10.3m core recovered to surface
•Mud weight increased due to increased background gas
•Planning to drill ahead to TD/GWC
GAS = 4328 to 4358.6 = 30.6m
SO total gas shows, excluding the #5 report,
EQUALS 299.6m reported gas shows
got to be some commercial gas in there somewhere!!!!
