Unfortunately, it appears there may be disappointment with the result, but I hope I am wrong.
Santos have just announced their 3rd quarter results.
They have stated oil production from Oyong is down 21% from the previous quarter due to natural field decline but yes this is offset by Wortel gas production.
Horizon Oil in their release today on Maari/Manaia also state that the water injection work undertaken at the end of last year basically has not worked.
Therefore I suspect we will not be getting the improved flow rates that we were hoping for.
The best result we can hope for is the impending announcement of 'new opportunities' as mentioned by Tweedie in the Annual Report.
