Manora-5 was the least riskiest prospect in the 'Thailand exploration upside potential'. This was a very dissapointing result given some of Troy's previous interview comments about extending life of Manora field development with 'satellite near field discoveries'.
The original plan was to move the rig to the G1/48 lease for the second hole, before returning to the last G3/48 well - probably because the market would wear a bad news duster between what was expected to be two small discoveries with tie back potential. Now they're continuing with the 2nd G3/48 well. At least they are now executing a plan with the least rig move costs.
Cheap but interesting times ahead. Not expecting G1/48 to be successful so will test support lines for a while yet.
To Troy...
Announcing a duster to those that understand the O&G industry business is short term share price loss but an opportunity to accumulate in a well run company.
Waiting until after the bell on a Friday afternoon is a long term credibility loss - as is the steady stream of sell downs during the day.
