re: re:capital punishment for canberra fire arsoni Jododo, It's been tried in USA. Result 1? McVeigh. Result 2? A whole lot of innocent people have been turned into burning bushes. Result 3? A whole lot of people on deathe row have had their death sentece commuted. Why? Because "thinking" and not anger has prevailed.
Conclusion? Stiffer penalties and particularly the death sentence has done nothing -anywhere- to aleviate horrible crimes.
