I really don't know.
But on IMU, bird-flu was stated by them to be an adjunct sort of program - the emphasis on the growth promotion aspects of the adenoviral platform, but with a shot-in-the-dark for bird flu as well. And as far as I can remember, the IMU bird flu 'vaccine' is still a scientific punt.
My thoughts at the time were 'stick with what you know'. It will be hard enough for IMU to get their growth promoter to the market. Flu research of any kind is extremely complex due to the clever characteristics of the flu virus. Many of the world's major bio labs have been working for years on ways to deal with the flu bug. It's a huge money and time task. Unlikely that the small IMU/Csiro effort will pay off. Great if it does, but will have just another depressing effect on sp if they fail. They set themselves up to fail the last time.
I still think they should stick with their fundamental game - god knows, that's proving hard enough.
