This announcement is good because the loan to Gleneagles has been repaid in full by Genorah so that has taken away the immediate likelihood of shares being dumped on-market.
We don’t know what the conditions attached to the loan with Farling Ventures are but it looks like AMED will be our strategic partner. They will probably buy a direct interest in NKP from Genorah and I’d say at a substantial premium to the 20c offered by the SA based entity.
The announcement is lacking anything of substance regarding the strategic path forward (Anglo dispute is the big issue here that needs to be addressed) but it does sound like the agreement with AMED is in the final stages so a further announcement is not too far away.
I remember a few months ago there was some discussion on HC about two parties coming forward offering to negotiate a way through the dispute with Anglo. One we assumed was Paramount Group. Maybe the other was AMED and they are the one who was able to resolve it.
