New CFO for ANZ New Zealand

Antonia Watson is to be the new Chief Financial Officer of ANZ New Zealand.

Ms Watson, whose appointment is subject to Reserve Bank of New Zealand
approval, takes up the role on 10 December 2012.

She replaces Nick Freeman who will become Chief Financial Officer for ANZ
Australia.

Ms Watson has been ANZ New Zealand's Financial Controller since 2009.
Previously she worked for Morgan Stanley in Hungary where she was General
Manager of their business services and technology centre that served North
America and Europe. She also worked for Morgan Stanley in Sydney, where she
was Head of Finance and Infrastructure, and in finance roles in London.

Having grown up in Auckland, Ms Watson graduated with her Bachelor of
Commerce degree with honours in accounting from Otago University. She
received her accounting qualifications while at KPMG in Auckland.
