"I note you say "Much headway has been made over the years but still some way to go" and I ask 'to go where exactly? and how will we recognise when we have got there?I am truly interested to know your answer."
Hi mazwegian. A good start would be for there to be no need for women's refuges who are trying to escape the domestic violence inflicted by some men. Also, look at what some of the women have had to put up with in the defence forces a culture that has even bastardised some of the young males. As I say much progress has been made to protect women, our daughters from discrimination and predatory men who abuse them but still some way to go. There are whole range of issues.
I recall recently reading of a recent case where its alleged a male was retrenched and allegedly rumour was the boss wanted a gorgeous woman to replace that person. Now if true, that would be discrimination against that male but also if the alleged rumour were true it demeans women in terms of the attitude of that boss towards women.
