Don, I suggest you do some basic research starting with FOB (freight on board).
Then look at Tolling (subcontracting the final separation) probably by Rhodia's La Rochelle plant.
When phase 2 is running then separation is much more complete of course.
Finally (and the evidence here is less clear) the Chinese plants like Bayou (not the ionic clays tho) have a higher cost structure than the LAMP. I've seen $20/kg + compared to (the Chinese guys reckon) $2 at LAMP. I'd assume that is just the lamp, not transport and Mt Weld.
In any case there's pretty strong evidence that:
"If Lynas lose money producing then everyone else will too"
No morket stays like that for long.
