Andres - investing in an African iron ore explorer was always a high risk high reward play - I have no intention in being conservative with Sundance. I think macroeconomic events are in sundance''s favour - yes right now there is a hiccup with iron ore, but have a look across multiple sectors - wider than iron ore - and you willl see that developed markets are struggling for growth and emerging markets are firing on all cylinders.

For example look at kraft foods, they have separated their stagnant north american grocery business from the snack food business because they know the huge growth potential in emerging markets.

China have first mover advantage in Africa, and they are not going to relinguish opportunities to cement a foothold in Western Africa - this is bigger than iron ore - this is about who will be able to capitalise on the emerging markets century and Africa could follow on from the rise of the BRICs.

It is well known that China think long term so why don't we. The problem with Australian business today, with senior managers rewarded for performance in the current financial year, is that they are only focused on the short term. They are rewarded for the short term and get to keep collecting their huge fat salaries if they deliver the results this year, usually with scant regard for the shape of their business in five years time.

I, for one, will not settle for a sub standard deal because I have been beaten into believing that this is as good as it gets and there will never be anything better.

And if it turns out that 45 cents is as good as it gets I won't have any regrets. I try and keep an eye on the short term and long term, and the long term is bright - keep up the fight George Jones - you're legacy will be phenomenal if you can look after those retailer shareholders who have kept the faith and have not been worn down by this extended saga
