    Hi Biggles and all,

On the last Gold price run we lost your input for two weeks. I expect a couple of things over the next couple of weeks, once the US election is over I feel the Gold price will continue along its rising trend and will reach $1,800.00 fairly quickly. I suspect your plan to disappear from here will coincide with that Gold price rise.

Now that’s not a Gold prediction of course but I offer it as a reasonable prediction having observed the comments being made here lately.

I don’t believe any poster here wishes to see any harm done to the US citizens in the hurricanes path; however, it’s just a pity that their own government and bankers don’t have such a benevolent view. Printing money out of fresh air and their other actions are causing a very real lowering of living standards and real wage destruction. The slow strangulation of one’s standard of living and the destruction of the middle class will leave its mark for generations whereas the storm damaged can be cleared away fairly quickly.

In a pub yesterday in Sligo (great music) I noticed a great deal of Irish patriotism and a love of all things Irish, one of the songs talked about even giving one’s life for Ireland. With their debts currently around 20,000 Euros for each man woman and child I turned to my good friend of many years and an original Irish man to boot and I asked if I was to pass the hat around how many of these patriotic people would be willing to tip in their share of the debt?

I guess it’s one thing to love one’s country and heritage but another matter when it’s time to pay the piper. The piper was very good I might add.

Biggles maybe Guss is right and it may be healthy for you to seek out some other enjoyable pursuits, I have my physical Gold and my views my love of fishing music travelling etc. I don’t claim to be any great intellect but I feel I have a reasonable balance in my life of retirement.

I don’t wish to see the total destruction of the way of life we have grown accustomed to but I am afraid I do have great concerns by the way the powers that be are running us headlong into what appears to me to be a very well-constructed wall.

Until I see a change in attitude and see some reasonable policy for navigating the current un-charted financial waters I will continue to put my faith in Gold and Silver.

Cheers sir and if you are indeed taking a sabbatical or even just planning on reading another book I wish you well with your endeavours.

Cheers sir again and very best regards: Andy
