diligent, I said $800 billion extra government receipts, I did not say $800 billion debt.
Receipts around 22% of GDP prior to Costello.
Receipts increased to around 25% of GDP with Costello.
A 3% of GDP increase in receipts, (not a decrease as you claimed).
You cannot claim taxes were less, when almost a Trillion dollars extra taken in receipts.
Hence the increase in government receipts from around $124 Billion to around $295 billion in just over 11 years.
This equals an increase of revenue of around $950+ Billion for Costello.
