'What do you think will be the trigger for the market to wake up to the potential of mnm?'

    Mrs P

the market doesnt believe in the BC Pilbara.

The Vic and Fed Govt seem genuine about creating it to me. Why else take the green flack for funding the ALDP, BCIA and CCV programs at a cost of more than $500 million?

It is unclear if there will be any Govt announcements about the ALDP progress (ie how many applications, the integrity and scale of the applicants etc) after the 19/11 first round cut off.

But I think they will want to push the BC Pilbara idea again soon.

Baillieu has to find something to show he is a 'can do' guy for political reasons. He is seen by the Vic electorate as inert compared to Jeff Kennett for example, which is killing him in the polls. It is even causing leadership speculation, which is the last thing he needs.

Unless Ted wants to be remembered as the Kevin Rudd of Victorian politics he needs to spearhead Victoria's charge into the resources boom and the asian century.

Brown coal is all he has to do it with.

With this in mind I reckon Baillieu, Ferguson and O'Brien are planning a bullish S7/ALDP progress ann before the end of the year.

Some decent gold drilling results from GC confirming that the project contains a near surface million ounce plus resource wouldn't hurt MNM's market profile either.

IMO the MNM SP has been rendered meaningless over the last few weeks by obvious small volume games to walk it down to 8c.

In fact all the sells under 10c for the last 5 trading sessions have looked like game players to me - all those 25 000, 50 000 and 100 000 unit sells are too neat to be retail holders getting out en masse.

It is impossible to get a decent chunk of this stock cheap anymore.

Too much potential company making news is too close.

The game players will have to pay up eventually, or miss out on the inevitable MNM re-rate if Vic brown coal becomes flavour of the month at any time in 2013.
