If it was a genuine level playing field, ie Ron Paul received as much media support as other candidates, he would have been the president long ago.
Unfortunately there is also the very realk chance that Ron Paul is also a puppet, being used as a red herring.
But to answer your question, Obama would defeat Romney easily in this election.
