lease expiry

I have a few questions regarding the leases under dispute, I hope someone with more knowledge than I, can give me some answers.

Going back over old posts I see that the leases were purchased with an expiry date sometime in March 2013. If we allow those leases to expire what happens to them.

Are they put back on the market?
Can we bid for them again?
Could we negotiate a price off-market?.
What would be the likely cost?

I am assuming that if the shares expire,then the problem we have with the unknown company and its options will simply go away.
