Although I think Julia Gillard should be held to account for her performance as PM and that of her government, I am absolutely appalled by threads such as this one that are being used to smear and denigrate her.

Despite his turbulent university days Tony Abbott has not been subjected to this cesspool targeting Gillard.

Small wonder that Gillard launched into Abbott in Parliament - while in international forums all she would have to do to vindicate her speech would be to refer people to threads like this one.
