There's some fantastic commentary on this thread by a few ... great input guys! (:
markob,
"Baharat was one lucky company to get on board early, they will be their to protect NWE because IMO there is no doubt they do not want another major taking over, they want to be the big fish in this relationship."
Yes, that's exactly what I was saying yesterday as well. Bharat are there for the GAS., and imo they will not let anything unforeseen happen to Norwest as they will want to protect us to protect themselves (imo).
Regarding speculation talk on these threads of a possible takeover of NWE don't forget that both Bharat & NWE hold the controlling stake of >50% (ie; NWE - 27.945% and Bharat - 27.803% = 55.748%)., so I doubt anyone's going to have a crack at us any time soon.
Some people have said to me that Bharat might have a crack at a takeover, but how does that benefit Bharat??? I can't see that it does because we already have a very good symbiotic relationship with them atm. What would be the point of them spending more money to achieve the same result ie; reliable gas supply??? The core focus is good supply of well priced gas over a long period of time when you consider that their energy imports are $160B per year & will rise significantly over the years.
