As you say it goes with the territory. the Chandler red light camera program has been a very successful contract for Redflex, the addition of this speed camera trial is still obviously under negotiation. As long as it is cost neutral I would imagine Redflex will do the trial for them. Most Arizona cities already have intersection red light/speed camera combined systems, Chandler is just playing catch up.
Not many shareholders realise the long lead times, complicated local and state government situations , and the politics involved in negotiating and implementing these programs, the Redflex guys certainly earn their keep. and even before that they have a huge amount of groundwork to do, for example they have been working hard in Texas for 18 months and are only just starting to see the results come through.
