IMO, the politicians, journalists and public do not realize the significance of the Victorian trials in the Latrobe Valley.
Potentially, up to 50% of emissions may be cut in one deft swoop because of
1) greater thermal efficiency of de-hydrated brown coal and lignite
2) less brown coal will be need to generate the same amount of electricy
I have written to relevant Federal Ministers. I am astounded that they just don't get it!
I would have thought ECT would be out there shouting this message, rather than worrying about pay packages. Do they even have a PR person or strategy?
