Much better thanks Groucho.... almost dangerous!!
I have been reading some of the threads and chatter about a gear failure. If this is right then we cannot expect Ken to walk the plank on this, after all this is out of his and NEN's control. Apart from the fustration in respect of the time delay it does not alter what is in the ground and as the contractors have responsibility for the equipment. I am sure that there would be provision for liquidated damages payable to NEN which cover off on gear failure in the contract and if so then the real damage is merely time.
I am still of the view that the announcement as to P1,2 willl be significant given the shale covers most if not all of the Paloma site and this alone will realise reserves far and above the contingent resource that Ken has flagged.
In saying this it would be great if the announcement was within the period leading into Christmas.
